It all began in 2011 after a trip to USA to visit family, when I stumbled into my first thrift shop. I still remember the feeling, filling my trolley within the first aisle. That was the moment it clicked. I knew what I was finding had not touched the boarders of my home town.

Days after landing, I opened a tiny pop up shop in Middlesbrough town centre. Where I’d fill the rails with my thrift finds next to my hand made tye-dyes tees. My home town trusted me to bring them my vision of one off pieces to express their personality.

I went on to open two more stores in Boro before branching out to Newcastle then onto Ibiza, Spain to host a summer of exciting pop ups. Over the past decade I've travelled the world sourcing the best 90s vintage, making friends along with creating numerous collections of our own branded clothing to showcase our influences and personality.

In November 2021 I came across my first ever physical shop in Middlesbrough up for Rent and felt it was only right that I gave it another shot using the knowledge and experience I've gained over the years. In the space of a few weeks I transformed the place from a shell of a shop to a convenience store for vintage clothing at affordable prices. 112 Borough road, Middlesbrough is now the current home of Lazy Joe's providing a hub customers can visit and get a real feel for the Lazy Joe's brand.
